Giclee Production

Image Capture: Images are taken with a 39 megapixel Hasselblad camera with a polerizing system, ensuring a quality high resolution reproduction.

Image Processing: Screen calibration and professional version of Photoshop to insure that the giclees match the originals as closely as possible.

Archival Printing: The latest in professional commercial large format printer specifically designed for fine art giclees.

Archival Inks: the manufacturer's ink archival specification is 108/ 200 years for color / B&W.

Spraying: additional surface, moisture, and UV protection. Spray adds an estimated 35 years of archival life.

Stretch Frames: we offer both standard stretch frame and gallery style stretch frame mounting services (3/4" and 1 3/4" depth respectively).

Stretch Mounting Options: image mounted to edge of the stretch frame or image wrapped around the side of the frame. All staples are on the back of the frame only.

Full Framing Services: we offer framing services on large projects.

Art Cards

Giclee Canada’s art cards are not to be confused with standard lithograph ‘art cards’. Each card consists of (i) a high quality 5”x7”deckled edge card stock blank, (ii) text / logo printed on the back side of the card, (iii) each image is printed on archival fine art media, (iv) the images are hand cut and individually hand mounted on the card blanks, (v) includes a matching envelope and (vi) includes a protective clear plastic sleeve (in the case of individual cards).

These cards are superior to lithograph cards and many customers remove the image from the card and mount it in a 5 ”x 7” frame.

Archival

Our prints use pigmented inks, that have a manufacturer's archival specification of 100+ years for color and over 200 years for B&W images. The UV spray adds surface / moisture protection and an estimated additional 25 years of archival life.
